

Elaine June Diamond, 97, of Chicago. Beloved wife for 71 years of the late Dr. Seymour Diamond; loving mother of Judi Diamond-Falk and the late Nathan Diamond-Falk, Merle Diamond, and Amy (Charlie Morey) Diamond; proud and loving grandmother of Brian Diamond-Falk and Katie Diamond-Falk, Emily Diamond-Falk and Alex Horowitz, Max Barack and Debbie Barack, Michael Barack, Jacob Barack and Shelley Eisenberg, Zach Barack; great grandmother of Zevon, Oliver, and Veronica, Zeddy, Dahmi’Yus, and Noriah, Daria, and Sari; cherished daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie Flamm. Elaine was also preceded in death by sister Barbara and Harold Levine.
Graduated from the University of Chicago where she established a new degree in social work. Brilliant bridge player, artist, and writer. Helped to establish the National Headache Foundation more than 50 years ago. Consummate shopper who passed down these amazing skills to her three daughters. Best scrabble player ever, needle pointer, and a crossword genius. Her family recipes have been carried on by her daughters, with some still in her handwriting on index cards.
The love our Mom and Dad shared was an example to us all. Their generosity of spirit and continued support of everyone in our family was inspirational. They had a big, beautiful life together.
A memorial services will be held 1pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL 60091. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the National Headache Foundation (www.headaches.org) appreciated.
