Ellen Wolf, nee Salomon, 92, survived by beloved husband Herbert of 66 years; devoted mother of Kenneth (Lynn Patinkin), Rachel (Thomas) Mayhew, and Sheldon; proud grandmother of Jessica, Thomas Jr., Scott, and Robin Cohen; caring sister of the late Inge (Stephen) Wagner; dear aunt of Margaret Bary, Audrey Vernick, and Ronald Wagner; close cousin of Harry Price and Eve Posada. Ellen was born in Berlin, Germany and fled to Shanghai, China during WWII. She emigrated to the US in 1947 where she met her future husband Herbert in 1955. They married in 1956. She was a dedicated special education teacher at Warren Township High School for many years, and successful in her career as a real estate agent later on. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 12 Noon at Oakridge Cemetery, 4301 Roosevelt Rd, Hillside. It will also be streamed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chicago Botanic Garden, www.chicagobotanic.org, or a charity of your choice.
