Ethel Cohen

Our mother, Ethel Cohen (nee Rovnick) passed away December 14, 2023 after living a very long and full life. Defying all logic, her love of sweets perhaps contributed to her longevity. Why have one dessert when you can have 2?! Education was important to her. She enjoyed her many years working at Northwestern University and other schools in order to provide us with a better opportunity to attend college. She was the beloved wife (55 years!) of the late Seymour; loving mother of Linda (Bob) Olds, Michael Cohen, Judy (Ralph) Mack, Richard Cohen; cherished grandmother of Shari (Aaron) Thomas, Brittany Cohen & Marissa (Jason) Ruchim; & 4 great grandchildren; dear sister of the late Joseph (the late Esther) Rovnick, of the late Morris Rovnick & the late Bernard (the late Fran) Rovnick and many loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside services Thursday January 11th at 11 am. Menorah Gardens 2600 S 17th Avenue, Broadview. A memorial gathering for family and friends will follow immediately after the service. Please contact a family member for details.
