Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Sharon (Minevich) and daughters Marcy Gutan and Rhonda (Tom) Mangan. He was the loving Poppa to Kaitlin and Heather Mangan, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father Ben and mother Helen (Karlinsky).
Gene was a devoted Bears fan and a die hard Cubs fan.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 1:00 PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Congregation Hakafa.
