Eva H. Perkal, 91. Beloved wife of the late Ezra Perkal z"l and later Abe Primack z"l; proud mother of Rachel Perkal and Deborah Perkal-Balinsky z"l, devoted grandmother of Ruth Balinsky-Friedman (Yoni Friedman), Miriam Balinsky (Mike Gardener) and Leora Balinsky- Zimra (Sam Glauber-Zimra), adoring great grandmother of Ezra and Jobe Friedman and appreciative mother in law/friend to Michael Balinsky (Myra Rapoport) and Tobin Fraley. Born in Danzig, survivor of the holocaust via Shanghai, Eve (as she was known) and Ezra eventually settled in Skokie where she lived for almost sixty years. Eve taught at Old Orchard Jr. High for more than 25 years, was a speaker at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and led a life filled with art, literature, music and the enjoyment of the many people she counted as her dear friends. A woman of substance and a Free Spirit, she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Due to Covid-19, services will be private.
