Eva Rajczyk

Eva Rajczyk (nee Nahmanaovici), 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, she was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 19, 1934 and raised during a time of great turmoil in her country and around the world.

She came to Chicago with her husband, Moises Rajczyk, in 1963, arriving in a country in chaos. Despite the hardships of her upbringing, she was a model of maternal and familial stability. She is survived by her three sons, Eddie, Pablo, and Rick. She delighted in watching her grandchildren grow into the people they have become. Her home was filled with photos and reminders of her family. Her love and loyalty were unending.

She is predeceased by her cherished husband, who passed away on October 24, 1999.

While she held numerous jobs throughout her life, from seamstress to bank employee, her proudest accomplishment was her family. Her openness and kindness, her easy and infectious laugh, defined her.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
