Fredric Sidney Yanow, 98, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. He shared 64 years of marriage with the late Barbara Ann. He was born in Los Angeles, California son of the late Abraham and the late Goldie. He served as a Private in the Army during WWII then went to pharmacy school and opened Yanow Pharmacy in Chicago.
He is survived by his son Marc (Caryn), his daughter Karen, his grandchildren Joshua (Jessica), Daniel, Samuel (Meg), Megan (Daniel) and his great grandchildren Evan, Abigail and Emelia. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard and brother, Milton.
He was a long time member and supporter of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA.
Graveside service and interment will be at Ridgelawn/Beth-El Cemetery, 5736 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60646 on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
Shiva will be limited to immediate family due to COVID.
