It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Poulos, a devoted family man, gifted stylist, loyal friend, and beloved member of his community. Born in 1940 in the West side of Chicago, George lived a life rich with love, laughter, and the simple joys that mattered most.
For nearly 62 years, George shared a beautiful life with his late wife, Beverly “Cookie” (1942–2023). Together they built a home filled with warmth, love, and unwavering devotion. They raised two children, Beth (George) Spyratos and Scott (Marnie) Poulos, who were a constant source of pride. George’s joy only grew with the arrival of his treasured grandchildren – Kristalenia, Tasso, and Goldie – each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Never one to take himself too seriously, he approached life with a playful spirit, turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. Whether it was a mischievous grin during a family gathering, a joke delivered with impeccable timing, or a quirky comment that no one saw coming, his humor was the soundtrack to so many joy-filled days.
George will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his loyalty, his humor, and his generous spirit. His presence made the lives of those around him brighter, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
May his memory be eternal.
