Gerry was my 4 years older sister, We shared a bedroom for years until she left for college. Once I was 10 or so, I was close enough to her size so I could wear some of her clothes & did so. Imagine as a teenager having your little sister using your clothes & jewelry. Gerry never lost her temper, & would often share, only asking me to spare her newest outfits. This is an example of how kind she always was to me.

I remember cruising around in her VW bug convertible. All us cousins hanging out all over. She was so fun spirited! She also knew how to throw a party. I was always excited to see what she had cooked up. I don’t think I ever had a meal at her home that I didn’t like. We could rely on her always having onion dip and potato chips on hand for the party, my personal favorite. She lost her husband so tragically and so young. Yet, she was a pillar of strength for her kids. She loved them so. When I saw her recently she was worried about doing laundry for them. I reassured her they were all safe and well. She smiled. Blessed be Aunt Gerry.
