Gertrud was the beloved wife for 57 years of the late Herbert Oster; devoted mother of Peter (Rose) Oster, Nancy (Paul) Bubel, David (Donna) Oster and the late Karen Oster; cherished grandmother of Christopher Oster, Scott Bubel, Jennifer (Steven) Redlin, Brian Oster, Alexander (Emily) Oster, Jordan (Molly) Oster, Christine (Zachary) Gray, Kevin Oster, Katelyn (Sam) Reeves, Evan (Desirae) Oster and Joseph Bubel; proud great grandmother of Jack, Jeremy, Connor, Alexander, Margot, Aurelia, Louie, Savanah and 3 on the way; loving daughter of the late Josef (Elizabeth) Eichner and Aurelia Eichner. Gertrud is also survived by her beloved dog Toby. She was the daughter-in-law to the late Julius and Erna Oster and sister-in-law to the late Wolfgang and Barbara Oster.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Jewish Oakridge Cemetery, 4301W. Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL.
