Gustav "Gus" Spero, 93. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Chavkin); loving father of Joseph (Sara) Chavkin Spero, Peter Allen (Sally Newman) Spero and Bessie Spero (Ruoxin) Li; cherished grandfather of Greg, Katie, Joey, Hannah, Mark, Jessica and Miriam; dear brother of the late Ann Spero Schwimmer; proud uncle of Carol Stradley, Lisa Marier, Rusty Schwimmer, and Jenny Simpson; caring cousin of many. A graveside service will be held Sunday, Sept. 5, 2 pm, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie. Masks are respectfully requested if you are unvaccinated.
