My classmate..... I'll always remember Helen's quiet demeanor and beautiful  smile. Even in her quietness when she laughed everyone would laugh with her because she could be hilarious when she choose to be. Sleep on you've earned your rest. Love and condolences to  the family. May the thoughts and memories you share  bring you  peace and consolation of a life well lived.  

Helen’s love of life and infectious laugh will be in my heart always. Thank you Helen, for strongly encouraging those around you to be better versions of themselves.  My life, along with countless others you have touched, is better for knowing you. 



Danielle and Erica, so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I was thinking about her today and on the occasions we met. We actually met in three different countries Scotland, U.S.A and Ireland. She was a lovely lady with a beautiful smile. She is fondly remembered by the extended family here in Ireland. She is in our thoughts and prayers today. Virtual hugs to you all.

My dear cousins, Danielle and Erica as well as my aunt Winifred it is with our sincere love and heartfelt condolences that my sisters, Portia and Della and mom pray for you in your time of grief.  We remember the summers we spent in Chicago and the wonderful experiences we could have never had if our aunts had not opened up their homes to us.  We are forever grateful. Aunt Helen's laugh was so awesome.  I can hear it now as I think on the memories when we visited the residence on Agatite.  We remember hanging out in the basement and watching Uncle Patrick's elaborate train display.  And looking out the window with Aunt Helen as she made sure individuals in the alley were behaving.  I will bring this sharing of my many memories to an end; however, not the love I have for you and our family.  Wishing you continued blessings and peace. Erica and Danielle, I love you both. Your mom was a cool older cousin to me. I used to come over and watch the Bears with your dad. Helen and your dad helped me get my first job with benefits - with the Circuit Court of Cook County. It was a lifeline. Helen helped change the trajectory of my life in a positive way. When she heard that I had scored a 32 on the ACT, she told my mother I needed to apply to Northwestern. I was not ambitious. I would have been content to stay in Mississippi with my friends, but due to her encouragement and my mother's follow-up, I ended up at Northwestern and my horizon was forever widened. For that I am grateful. I am glad that she and I got to talk again and I was able to assist her before she passed. May she rest in Peace.

Helen was the first cousin I looked up to. She was 11 years older and seemed bigger than life. I went to Chicago one year with my grandma Della. I spent the night with Helen. When I left, she gave me one of her mini_dresses. Yes, she wore them very short so it fit me just fine. It was green and tan vertical stripes with  an elastic waist band. I wore that dress thread bare, until it unraveled at the seams.  I wore it to school, church, everywhere.
 I'll always remember Helen's infectious laugh. I loved to hear her laugh. You just had to laugh at her laughter. That's how I'll remember her. Big smile and that laugh. 
Rest in peace, dear cousin, until we meet again.

Dear Danielle & Erica,
We are so sorry to hear about your mother.  My friendship with Helen goes back to your very first day of kindergarten at Sacred Heart. We stood outside in the parking lot waiting for our girls, nervous about how their first day went.  You both came out together,  beaming. Your friendship began that day as well. 

Helen & I bonded over our first born girls, and then my baby boy & the birth of Erica. For the next 13 years, we watched you blossom into wonderful young women.  Although our paths diverged, we always enjoyed seeing each other at your school milestones.  She was so proud of you. 

Know that you are in our thoughts.

Danielle and Erica, I am so fortunate to have had the chance to know your mom. She was always kind to me, and always made me feel welcome. I have so many memories of her smile-the way her whole face was consumed in her joy was such a blessing to behold. Sending you love and hugs from our whole family to yours. Helens bright smile and endless enthusiasm for what is right and helping others was  inspiring and will live in my heart and memory forever. We became alley friends years ago as she would always stop and say hello.  We would talk  and laugh about politics, education and love of family. Those conversations will be missed and my love and goes out to all her family who she was so proud of. We are lucky to have been able to share some earthly space here with Helen . I wish that the sadness in your hearts be replaced soon with memories of good times, and laugher. With love to all Mary Rosinski
