In his younger years, he served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. After the army, he worked at American Linen Services as a truck driver until he retired at 65.
He was a die hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, never missing a game on TV. His happy place was tinkering in the garage; creating, building and fixing.
Henry's family was very important to him. His favorite days were the days that family got together to celebrate holidays and birthdays.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sonia Glick; daughter Laura Sadowski, former son-in-law Charles Sadowski, and daughter Gail (Scott) McAndrew; grandson Matthew Sadowski; granddaughter Nicole (Clay) Jeschke; great-grandchildren Connor and Hailey Jeschke. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
