Howard Lyon Gordon, 95, loving husband of Lois (née Kaufman) proud father of Carolyn (Martin) Lanoff and Leslie Rosenzweig. Loving grandfather of Ethan, Dylan, and Justin Lanoff, Alexa and Cameron Rosenzweig. Loving cousin to many. Howard is a veteran of the Korean War, serving as editor of the Fort Bliss news. He was the quintessential “Ad-Man” through and through; an advertising and marketing executive. Howard received his masters of advertising from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. He was also a professor of advertising and marketing at Northwestern Medill School of Journalism.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 3PM at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W Montrose Ave, Norridge, IL 60706. Shiva will follow from 5:30-9PM.
