Jim was like a Dad to me. He was always there for me in good times and bad. I was always able to talk to him about everything. A few weeks before he passed I was able to talk to him over the phone and share with him that I had just had my 1ST baby and her name and everything. He was able to see a picture thru the phone of her. I am so glad before he past he was able to at least see a picture of her and know her name and the day she was born. Jim you will be deeply missed by me and everyone. You will live not only in my mind but in my heart.

   The candle of life, August 21, 1945 provided the light that guided your path.  You were a very complicated man who touched many lives and opened many hearts.  You educated and guided those who had the courage to listen.  Your unconditional love for life was always intact no matter what adversity was ahead to challenge you. i had mr. frazin as a math teacher at wilmot , was able to participate in a grand canyon trip in 1971, and worked at his father's tie factory. these memories are forever in my mind. he was a true role model. i was with him the day he bought the motor home. he is truly the kind of man we all aspire to be. my condolences to his family. i am so sorry to hear of his passing. he will be remembered.

You were a great math teacher and a wonderful person.  I can't tell you how much fun we had on all of the ski trips and trips to the Grand Canyon.  You also got me my first job mailing ties for your fathers company at Christmas time.  We will miss you!

Thanks Jim for showing me the Grand Canyon (1975).Sleezak,Rodger Schmidt and Eric Nixon and a alot of DHS girls made the trip. I've made it back only once since.I can still remember things you taught in class 8th grade at Wilmot

Mr. Frazin was a role model for all his students. The kind of teacher all should aspire to be. I didn't fully appreciate all the things he did with YACA until years later, but have many fond memories of those trips. I made friendships in YACA that endure to this day. My condolences to Bobbi and Adam. He will be missed....

Jim Frazin was one of the truly influential people in my life.  Through four Canyon trips ('75, '76, '79, '80), and two years as my math teacher, and a decade as a mentor, Jim taught me how to appreciate nature, understand others, challenge myself, and think, really think, about what is going on, about others, and mostly about what matters.  There is a generation of Wilmot Jr. High kids (now 50 somethings) for whom Jim was just as important. He was a great man and I will never forget him.  To Adam & Bobbi my deepest sorrow.  May you be find some solace in knowing that we are all better for Jim having touched our lives.  Peace be with him.

My heart felt sympathies go out to Bobbi and Adam.  Jim was such a huge part of my teen years.  It was his passion for the outdoors and his belief in me that propelled me into a career of environmental education and then education.  I even had the opportunity to take my group of teens hiking through the canyon several years ago.  Bret has been back year after year taking his own kids down into the canyon.  So many of my memories were created on those trips.  I can't smell carmex without thinking of those trips.  Thank you so much for such wonderful experiences.

Mr. Frazin was my math teacher in Jr. High, he was such a great man.  I remember his trip to the Grand Canyon with his students each year - I was devastated because I didn't save up my money. He said I could earn it for next year's trip.  I babysat for Adam.  Years and years later, Mr. Frazin became an attorney, and I was able to share a cup of coffee with him in his office.  He told me you are never to old to learn. Today, at age 48, I am going to go to law school next fall.  This Thanksgiving, I will raise a glass, and toast the man who taught by doing.  I am thankful to know such a teacher, mentor, and later, friend.

My sympathies go out to Bobbi & Adam.  He was a wonderful influence.  I'm glad I got to touch base with him earlier this year.  Really miss YACA and how he treated students like people.  Always supportive even as I became a young adult.

Mr. Frazin, you were a wonderful teacher and a true man among men.  Your compassion and common sense toward life was a big help to me, may your crown in heaven be studded with jewels for a job well done.

Jim...You are loved and missed ole friend. I never appreciated all of our times together, but I know now. I miss our chess games. I got the message Jim, I will! Devren said a little prayer for you, you left us way too soon. I expect to see you at the wedding, don't be late..  We never got the opportunity to make that run together out west, on the ninth I will be out there, we have a few back bowl runs to make, I will see you on my side, I am still better, ha ha. You had such great compassion, spirit and wit, a loss for those whom loved you. You are in our hearts, and in our lives. I am so grateful that you were apart of us. I am even more thankful that you look over us. May you forever be surrounded by love & peace, that is our wish for you.

Jim you were truly a wonderful man that had a good heart.  You changed my life and many others in so many ways.  You always believed in me, put me on the right path, and taught me how to ski which I will never forget.  I always remember the things you said to me as they are locked in my mind.  You always used to say when I was a teenager "This is the best part of your life"  I never understood it and would question you and say what does that mean?  Now, as an adult I understand it perfectly.  So, many of the seeds you planted when I was young developed and grew into a beautiful garden.  You will truly be missed and never forgotten by me or my family.  I hope you are at peace now and can get the rest you always said you would.  Another of your favorite sayings, "you sleep when you are dead."  I love you Jim.  Your Daughter, Carrie
