My fondest memories of Jamie ?  There are so many!  High school friends who became college roommates, we spent summer 1975 floating in her new pool.  Winnie made us a delicious lunch everyday and they were the best possible sandwiches ever.  Jamie insisted on pressing my jeans every time I went to NY to visit my boyfriend.  That ‘s a testament to the kind of person she was, even at an age most of us were still self involved.  Jamie was loving, caring, kind, always present and involved.  I remember her big laugh.  I came across Jamie’s obituary while updating my contact info on HPHS’s website.  I was so shocked.   I’m sending condolences to Jamie’s husband David,  (she told me she met him on the one night when she didn’t bother to wear makeup, as well as stories of daddy long leg balls she encountered in the street when she first moved South) her children, family and friends. I had the opportunity to meet Jamie at her sister Robin's home on a Saturday in November of 2011 for a get together to watch a LSU football game. Jamie was wearing a LSU windbreaker when I first met her. She began a conversation with me that lasted well over a half an hour. She made me feel so welcome at her sister's home and she was so insightful in our discussion. I work with her sister Robin and she would always speak so highly of her older sister Jamie. I soon realized how close these sisters were. Jamie had such a positive impact on many people. Jamie was indeed the matriarch of the family.

I met Jamie working at WLS. She was always there for me either to lend a helping hand or just a shoulder to lean on for moral support. 
 Jamie was always a generous and kind person with a heart of gold. She will live on in our loving memories of her.
