Jan Levin (nee Jenny Schipper), age 94, a Holocaust survivor, died on January 29. Born in Berlin, Germany she survived the war by being hidden with her mother in the outskirts of Berlin, assisted by righteous Gentiles. She emigrated to the USA in January 1947; daughter of the late Hermann and Rachel Schipper; sister of the late Paula Schipper; wife of the late Frank Levin; mother of Andrea (the late Peter) Friedman and Howard (Beryl) Levin; loving grandma of Margalit (Nathaniel) Segal, Shoshana Friedman (Avner Warner), Billy and Kate Levin; great grandmother of Asher, Avital, Gideon Segal and Libby Warner; beloved cousin of many throughout the world.
