

Jerilyn "Jeri" Logemann, Ph.D., age 72, at rest June 19, 2014. Dr. Logemann was the Ralph and Jean Sundin Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University and Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she directed the Voice, Speech, and Language Service and Swallowing Center. She served twice as President of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and twice as Chair of the Northwestern University Faculty Senate. Logemann developed the "Cookie Swallow Test", which allows for diagnosis and treatment of swallowing problems in the X-ray room. She also helped to develop the Fisher-Logemann Test of Articulation Competence. She is survived by her beloved cousin, Ruth (Orven) Fruland and family, and by many beloved friends and colleagues. Visitation Thursday, June 26, 10 AM until time of funeral service 11 AM at Wm H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave., Wilmette. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.
