Was a captain in the Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marjorie Dold (nee Miller); two beloved daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Brewer and Suzanne (Robert) Brunk; five cherished grandchildren, Kathryn (Frederick) Jorgensen, David and Madeline Brewer and Jeffrey and Tabitha Brunk; two brothers, Charles (Diane) Dold and Bob (Judy) Dold.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Anne Dold.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 4 to 6pm at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11am at Winnetka Bible Church, 555 Birch St., Winnetka, Il 60093 with a funeral service following at 11am. A private graveside service will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie
