I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of this news.  Josh was an amazing person. We shared so many memories together it would unfair to just share one of them.  He was a great fishing buddy, a natural protector, a born leader, and an all around good person.  We tried to reconnect over the years without any success but I always knew we would pick up right where we left off next time we got together.  Fawn, Jeanie, Jack and the rest of the Burnett/Bress family I am truly sorry for you loss.  
 

I always looked forward to seeing Josh. As expected , he always had a smile on his face, was a great listener? and very knowledgeable about sports. We discussed both the Bears  and the Blackhawks , and he was spot on with his predictions , year after year. Every time sherry and I saw him he always had a kind word to say about everyone. Sherry and will miss Josh, but we have so many fond  memories of just what an incredible person he was.

I'm a very close childhood friend to Josh. I consider him my brother, and his family my family. I have so many stories about Josh growing up. Just being by his side, hanging out with him in our younger years I cherished. We lost contact as we aged a bit. Pretty normal these days as everyone's got their own stuff going on. But if we ever bumped into each other, it was like we never missed a beat. That love and respect for each other was always there. The memories you have with your close friends when you're young  never leaves you. Josh was a key figure in our group of friends. I know everyone that grew up with Josh is going to miss him just as much as I am. We love you brother! You will be dearly missed!!! Bless.......

My deepest condolences to Josh's family. He was a colleague, mentor, and a friend that wanted nothing more than the best for the ones he cared for. We spoke directly almost daily for the last few years and I already miss our conversation. Loving his family and being there for them was always on his mind. Will always remember the fun times we had at tradeshows and visits to Chicago.

so sorry for your loss, I got to meet him a few times at work, we talked dogs, he loved his dog , we connected instantly, he was very interested in helping anyone at DTS with his logistics knowledge. We hung out briefly at a trade show in Vegas, very fun dude. Always had good things to say.

I had the pleasure of working with Josh Burnett at DTS, his last employer.  He and I spoke almost every day.   We did many tradeshows together  and Josh was always fun to be with.    I remember when we did our electric race car drive in Vegas,  Josh was a really good driver on the closed track that the 4 of us were on.   I know he loved his dog as he and I are both dog lovers and he always said that was his best friend.  

I will miss our conversations that we had each week and I am still in shock that he is no longer with us.    I wish comfort to his parents and want to let them know he will be missed.

We were so very sad to hear about Josh. We cannot imagine how difficult this must be for you, please know you are and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
Josh was such a kind, gentle soul. He would do anything to help and support his family.
Remember the time the cousins took part in the band/concert at your house when they were all small? They had fun “putting on the show”. It’s one of my favorite memories of them all playing together.

Josh was my cousin but I considered him my older brother. I remember playing “Ghost in the Graveyard” and Josh always insisted on being my partner. He would pull me along since I was much younger and slower than the rest of our cousins. That is how I will always remember him as a protector, a brother and a cousin. I love you Josh and I miss you already more than you could know.

Josh was my “big” cousin all through my childhood. He went out of his way to be my big brother in many ways and I loved and hated him for it. I remember him telling me that he got a dance with the bride at my wedding. He swirled me around the floor while making me laugh and feel so happy. I love you Josh and I know you will be there one day waiting for our next dance. I think about you and my Dad laughing together and waiting for the rest of us to join you one day.
