Julie Fisher Pappas; loving wife of Deke; fiercely devoted mother of Jessica, Allison, Nicolas and Alex; devoted daughter of the late Lawrence Fisher and Sharon Gyssler and cherished by the entire Pappas family. Julie was a Special Education teacher at Central School in Glencoe who loved her students and colleagues. A loyal champion of the underdog, she loved sunsets in Florida, My Girls, Glencoe Girls, and anything and everything her children did. She excelled in reading, talking on the phone, and doing good things for other people. A memorial service will take place Sunday, October 9th at 2pm at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave in Glencoe or you can livestream at www.amshalom.com/livestream. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Julie Fisher Pappas Fund at Am Shalom for the family to support organizations that were meaningful to Julie.
