Lore was such a lovely, kind woman and a true Woman of Valor. She was one of the first to welcome me and my family to NSCI and became a mainstay of our synagogue family. We shared notes on needlepoint - I learned so much! When I undertook the project of making my daughter's tallit, Lore offered to bring me linen from Israel. Upon her return, with a beautiful length of snowy fabric, she related a hilarious story of being sent all over Jerusalem in search of just the "right" stuff. My family will always remember her, and be grateful for her love of her people and her devotion to our community.

I READ A MOST MODEST OBITUARY OF A TRULY GREAT LADY. I SAW HER OFTEN AT SYNAGOGUE; I KNOW OF HER MANY GOOD WORKS FOR OUR TEMPLE. SHE WAS AT TEMPLE MANY TIMES WHEN I ATTENDED. SHE WAS SO VERY GENEROUS AND NOT THE LEAST BIT PRETENTIOUS OR OUTSPOKEN. I HOPE THAT MANY OF US WILL FOLLOW HER LEAD TO BE GREAT JEWISH WOMEN WHO MADE A DIFFERENCE. IN OUR WORLD. SHE DID; SHE DID IT ALL.. HER FAMILY SHOULD BE VERY PROUD.

I am heartbroken to learn this news of Lore's passing.

I had the good fortune of inviting Lore to my home one pre-Passover to make gefilte fish together. She reminded me of my mother and I delighted in this generational symbolism during the holiday.

Lore wrote all over my treasured cookbook because I gave her the job of recalculating the recipe. I loved her notes and will particularly cherish them now.

She is and will be greatly missed.
