From the time I can remember, the three sisters were a united package. Lorraine was the baby and very much doted on. She was beautiful in every way. She and George had a marriage to envy. Their children were lucky to have them share so much love. Whenever we would go to Chicago, we would stay at Lorraine's. There were many Passovers in Fort Lauderdale with whoever was visiting. We laughed so hard and listened to the stories about the "olden days." I became very close with Randi, and we had our own relationship apart from our moms.
I miss my aunt very much. We spoke on the phone often, especially in the last few years. Her voice sounded like my mother's and I loved that.
Sending healing hugs and love to everyone who is hurting now. She was adored by so many. She was love.

Your mom was a true force of nature and I loved the time spent with her in MC. She took us (Cathy, Nancy, me) to the fabric store to pick out fabric and then made our bedroom curtains, she helped us paint our room purple😊 
Your mom taught me to knit (which I never got the hang of:), but I caught on to crocheting and I can still picture the navy and white poncho I made under her tutelage! 

One if my funniest memories was her coming home with boxes strapped onto the station wagon roof… what was in there?  Menstrual pads. Cathy said she only used tampons and asked her why the hell she bought them and your mom said cuz it was too good a deal to pass up!  That maybe Cathy should try them again.  She loved a bargain, probably as much as my dad did🤪

When I saw your mom at your dad’s funeral, she looked like the picture of health… obviously that changed. Or she died of a broken heart☹️. Your parents were clearly so in love. How wonderful they shared such a good long life together.

Randi, my sister.  Please accept my sincerest condolences to you and your family.  I remember the many days your mom prepared our lunch.  She literally made thee best peanut butter and strawberry sandwiches.  I love you my sister and if there's anything you need, I'm  here.

My Mom Laurie Kosky remembers a Grove St. ladies get together. “ We each brought 5lbs of flour over to Lorraine’s house and she  taught us how to make bread”

We are truly heartbroken for your loss. What a beautiful person Lorraine was. Still so beautiful after all these years. 

George and Lorraine have been in my life for 60 years. They were both my second parents as we lived next door on East Prairie.
Randi and I grew up together, played together, got in trouble together. Marianne my mom was best friends with Lorraine. 
My mom just loved Randi. We have a very special bond. 

Rest in Peace Lorraine, please hang out once again with Marianne.

Aunt Lorraine was very special and caring . She was the glue that kept my family together when we had to move to New York 72 years ago. My mom was devastated to say the least and while Lor was 12 years younger she stepped up to the plate and took care of Bubby and everyone else . I can’t remember a time when she wasn’t in our lives whether it was on 3535 Grove Street where me and my siblings slept upstairs in the hallway . Then on to Highland Park where how anyone could sleep with all the cuckoo clocks still puzzles me . Next her last home in Lake Forest where she entertained endlessly her family and friends . It was her greatest joy .
I have afghans and scarves she knitted and crocheted for me and they are priceless .
The Passovers we spent in Fort Lauderdale and fun at the flea market . I know you have such a large family I won’t take up more space  . As tears are rolling down on all our faces I know that in heaven she’s giving them hell . I love you Lor
