OBITUARY

M Barry Siegel

November 12, 1944 – August 6, 2026
Obituary of M Barry Siegel
IN THE CARE OF

Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home

Barry was the devoted son of the late Marvin B. Siegel and Caroline Roz Siegel, the loving father of Gregory Siegel and Alison Leigh Siegel, the cherished brother of Betsy Berman and Bruce Siegel (Barbara), and the fun-loving and kind uncle of many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Barry was known for his good looks, engaging personality, love of rock music and dancing, skills at racquetball, baseball, softball, and other sports, his heartfelt poetry, and his enduring love of ice cream and chocolate. More importantly, he was admired for his warmth, kindness, and empathy. He showered his children, family, friends, and neighbors with his entertaining and always loving presence.

It was not just those closest to Barry who felt his amiability and generosity. He volunteered much time and energy to helping young people and their families through the North Suburban Special Recreation Association and its foundation, and was honored as a Man of the Year. He was also associated with the Center for Independent Futures, an organization that helps individuals with disabilities develop the skills to live more independent lives. He was truly a man with a huge heart.

Barry was also a natural salesman and was well respected in the advertising-specialty business. His clients and even his competitors were always cheered to see him.

Establishing and nurturing strong and rewarding friendships throughout every chapter of his life came naturally to Barry, and these relationships, along with his strong family bonds, made him a truly blessed man. He will certainly be missed by all those who had the joy, the pleasure, the memories, and the privilege of knowing M Barry Siegel.

For those who wish to honor the memory of M Barry Siegel with a donation, contributions may be made to the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Foundation in Highland Park, https://www.nssrafoundation.org or the Center for Independent Futures in Evanston, https://independentfutures.com/
