She was the beloved wife of Sidney Polan, who passed away in 2020; sister of Barbara Levin; aunt of Mandy (Ed) Thalhammer; great-aunt of Max and Lily Thalhammer; and a friend to many in both Illinois and Georgia.
A Funeral Service will be held at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL 60091, on October 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
A luncheon following the service will be held at The Continental Restaurant, 788 S. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.
Shiva will be held on Wednesday evening, October 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Levin/Thalhammer residence, 1459 Thor Drive, Inverness, IL 60067.
A private burial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
