Mary Beth Cyze, 63, born in Chicago, Illinois on August 25, 1959, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2023; long-time resident of the Chicagoland area. She will be loved and forever missed by her children, Alexandra, Grant, and Laine. Beloved wife of over 30 years to James R. Stern. Preceded in death by her parents Mary M. Frighetto, Gary J. Frighetto, and Robert M. Cyze, and brother Robert (Kathy) Cyze. Sister to Donald (Liz) Cyze, Brenden (Marybeth) Cyze, Mark (Nancie), Lori, John (Wendy), and Michael (Jennifer) Frighetto. Dear aunt to Kate, Beth Anne, David, Amelia, Jeanine, Reid, Reese, Jonathan, Tiffany, Andrew, Victoria, Lisa, Steve, Scott, and Kelly. Great aunt to Johnny, Natalie, Jack, Collin, Caleb, Charlotte, Zara, Suri, Peter, Katherine, and Margot. She will be remembered most for her dedication, love, and devotion to her family. She had an extraordinary gift of creating fun experiences and memories that won’t be forgotten. Her willingness and ability to guide and support others positively influenced many lives.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3 - 9 pm at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois. Friends and family will gather Tuesday, March 21, 10:30 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1024 Lake Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation are appreciated.
