My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Mike was a business associate as well as a personal friend. He introduced me to the game of racquetball,for which I'll always be grateful. Mike was at our wedding and the most loyal Green Bay Packer Fan that I ever knew. He was my flight instructor, when I started to fly. I'll always remember the hours we spent in his airplane and Mike was a rare talent, in coaching and supporting your efforts no matter what you were doing. Both Nancy and I will miss him. God Bless you Michael.

So sorry to learn of Mike's passing! He was a generous and faithful friend of the Sisters of Providence for many years, and I enjoyed our phone chats. Rest in peace, Mike, and may perpetual peace shine upon you.

In our family, Mike will always be remembered by our now adult children as a sweet dear man, a lifelong friend of their dad's, Jerry Burke and his best pal Danny Nicholson.

Mike was revered not just for his fun company, but he was likened to Santa Claus because he would bring the most appreciated box of Salerno cookies.  Barbara was often the receipient of this wonderful beyond words treat.  Thanks Mike for all of your great memories.  Bonnie Burke

Gloria.  Perhaps you recall the trip you, Mike, Mike Ryan and  took when Mike was a freshman at Loyola U.  The drive down to Ft. Lauderdale, straight through there and back.  We dropped you at your Uncle George's villa while we rented an apartment.  Really enjoyed the companionship of your brother as well as meeting for outstanding pizza at a wonderful place at "No Man's Land " on Sheridan road. We knew Mike for 35 years and he always had a smile and a sharp sense of humor about him. We will miss that dry wit and seeing him around Northbrook. Rest in Peace Michael.

Mike will be greatly missed as a member of the Wilmette Harbor Rats Assoc. He was always there when you needed him and a great person to have a beer with.

Mike Salerno was a great boss, good friend, and excellent human being. He made working at Salerno Biscuit Company fun and exciting. He was full of ideas, and always encourage you to do your best. He always had a smile on his face and greeted everyone by their name in the morning and made you feel important. 
After Salerno Biscuit he became a good friend. When ever he talked with you on phone or met you in person, it was as if nothing has change. We would talk about the good old days.
We will miss him a lot. We will never forget him. He was great human being. - Subhash (Sam) Bhatia.
