Mimi Peters, nee Reznick, 86. Beloved wife of 63 years to Wayne; devoted mother of Pamela (Christopher) Alporque, Carolyn (James) Larsen, and Monica (Matthew) Goyer; cherished grandmother of Kenneth (Wanda Straka) Severs, Elizabeth (Kyle) Smith, Paul (Claire Norberg) Larsen, Michelle (Michael Scholl) Larsen, and Kai Noa Alporque; proud great-grandmother of Kadin, Kirin, Kyler, Cora, and Gabriel; dear sister of the late Roberta Lerman, Boris and John Reznick; will be deeply missed by close in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mimi was raised in Mt. Vernon, IL where she sang in the choir and played the flute. She was introduced to the love of her life Wayne at the University of Illinois by her best friend (now sister-in-law) Connie (Don) Cohen. She enjoyed MahJongg, bowling, and spending time at the beach. Her legacy will be her welcoming spirit- always kind, positive, and encouraging. Celebration of Life service Friday, March 11, 12 PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. Services will also be livestreamed. Interment private.
