While raising three children under challenging conditions, Molly achieved her Masters in Business Administration, graduating with honors from Roosevelt University, where she had also received her undergraduate degree. Molly had a successful professional life, rising from laboratory technician to administrator. During her career, she worked at Michael Reese, Mercy, St. Bernard, South Suburban, and Illinois Masonic Hospitals. She retired with Claude from Chicago to Albuquerque, NM for several years, then as her health declined, returned to Chicago to be near her children and grandchildren.
Molly enjoyed traveling with Claude and producing beautiful art. She especially enjoyed working with mosaics, and also painted in oils and watercolors. She was involved in her community, from helping improve schools in Chicago to serving as a docent at the Natural History Museum in Albuquerque. In her final years, she was a beloved resident of Belmont Village in Oak Park. Her family is grateful to the staff at Belmont and associated medical personnel for their dedicated and loving care.
A memorial will be held Friday, November 16, 2012, 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum-Main Chapel, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Illinois chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
