Nancy Shanken, age 89, beloved wife of the late Sidney Light for 16 years and the late Marvin Shanken for 35 years. Loving mother of Norman (Susan) Friedman, Eve Light (Ron) Honthaner, Elliot (Diana) Light, Elizabeth (Alan) Bright and the late Peter Light. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Friedman Partynski, Robyn Friedman McCarthy, Katie Light Soloway, Will Light, Eliana Light, Nathan Light, Haley Bright, Ben Bright, Gabriella Bright and Haya Bright and great-grandmother to Danny McCarthy, Luke McCarthy, Anna McCarthy and Simon Soloway. Loving sister to Edith Stender and Sarah (Mike) Danziger. Nancy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Services Thursday, 10:30am December 18, 2014 at the Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd. (1 block no. of Old Orchard). Internment at Westlawn Cemetery.
