Two years after her passing, I discovered the obituary today for Natalie Meltzer, z'l.  My heartfelt sympathy to Jill and Howard. I was a very close friend of Howard's in the 1960s and 1970s.

Mrs. Meltzer was a very kind person and made me very welcome in the family home on Warren Ave. in Skokie.  When Howard and I arrived there following religious skill at Temple Beth Israel, she always had an outstanding lunch and was glad to see us.

I have many fond memories of the Meltzer family.  May the name of Natalie Meltzer be for a blessing always.

Our sincere condolences at this time.  If she were able, Bernice would feel so sad upon the loss of her life long and dearest friend.

My sincere condolences on the death of your mother.  Your mother (and father) was a wonderful, helpful and loyal neighbor and friend to my parents, Tillie and Kalman Kaplan.  I will always have fond memories of your mother.  She always had a smile on her face.  She always had a good word to say.  She always was had a calming influence.  She will always be of a blessed memory for you and everyone whose life she touched.

Natalie was a first class act and she was, a wonderful neighbor.  She knew my mother, Tillie Kaplan, quite well.  When times were difficult for Tillie, Natalie was there with a smile, a kind word, a gentle comforting way.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Joel Kaplan
