
Norman John Westerhold III, born May 30, 1942 in Evanston, IL passed away on Thursday, October 6 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL. Norm was President of The Rockwood Co. for 26 years and currently held the title of Chairman. As a third generation officer, Norm led a 115 year old Chicago company. He was an avid participant in the sport of curling and a prominent collector of fine wines who was quoted in the Jan 15, 2000 issue of Wine Spectator Magazine. He was a life long Cubs fan and had a passion for fishing. Norm graduated from Denison University in Ohio where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Norm is survived by his loving wife Suzanne, daughters Lisa (Jason) Lersch, and Wendy (John) Cayer and cherished grandchildren: Alex Cayer, Holden Lersch & Billie Lersch. Visitation Thursday 4:30 to 8:00 PM, Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home (1100 Greenleaf Ave., Wilmette, IL 60091). Memorial Service Friday 1:30 PM, First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette (600 9th Street, Wilmette, IL 60091). Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to: The Rockwood Foundation (20 N.
