Raisa Oleynikova was born in Ukraine, on January 16th, 1928 to Libka and Moshe Kogan and was the youngest of three loving sisters, Shifra and Zelda. In 1952 she married Vladimir Oleynikov with whom she had two beautiful children, Alex and Irina. After her husband passed away at a young age, she committed to helping raise her grandchildren as she continued her career in medicine as a laboratorian. After immigrating to the US in 1989, she worked tirelessly into her 80s as a nanny to 13 children in the West Rogers Park community. She continued to devote herself as a great grandmother, helping babysit her own great grandchildren numerous times a week. She was always beaming with a smile, dressed to impress and never left the house without her lipstick. She is survived by her son, Alexander Oleynikov, daughter Irina Radutny, grandsons Alex Oleynikov, Vladimir Radutny and three great grandchildren, Ronit, Asher and Samuel.
A funeral service for Raisa will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 1PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL 60076. A meal of condolences will occur Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 3PM at Demetri's, 660 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, IL 60015.
