Bob and my parents met sometime in the 1930's at Camp Longwin, my family's summer camp.   He went there many summers and eventually became a counselor.  He and my parents stayed close until they passed away in 2017 and 2021.   Bob was a profoundly decent and lovely human being.   I remember wandering around the University of Chicago with him when I was an undergraduate.  He had also gone there and told stories of taking physics with Enrico Fermi.   He loved reminiscing and clearly felt a deep connection to his past, very much including my parents.   

He adored opera and plays, and kept meticulous notes about each one he had seen.   I hope those notes are in the hands of someone who loved him.   Those notes were deeply Bob.

We will miss him and will keep him in our memory.   We wish peace and rest for his lovely soul.
