Roberta S Berman, 78, of Darien, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of September 13th. Roberta was born in Chicago to Anna and David Karshen. Roberta earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Special Education at Roosevelt University. She taught 3rd grade in Harvey, Illinois. She also worked for the family business teaching Tax Preparation Classes and managing Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Franchises. She was a fierce advocate for her 3 children.
Roberta is survived by her beloved husband Jack. Loving mother of Inez, Joseph and Rebecca. Adoring grandmother of Anna and Julia. Treasured sister of Steven and Gary. Roberta is preceded in death by her caring parents Anna and David and brother Steven. Roberta will be deeply missed by many family and friends.
Graveside service at 2pm Tuesday September 16, 2025 at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 4301 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162.
