Sara Bunes

Sara Bunes, nee Barenberg, 99, beloved wife and best friend for 40 years of the late Ralph; devoted mother of Mark (Nancy), Steven (Sophia), Sheri, and Jacqueline; nurturing heart mother of Bonnie (Tom) and Tamara; adored grandmother of Joshua and Taylor; proud great-grandmother of Aaliyah; loving daughter of Ella; caring sister of May (Oscar) and Izzy (Emily); dear aunt, cousin, mentor, and friend of many. She was an amazing example to others by her generosity of spirit and her nurturing and dignified ways. She was a 'mother to all'. She greeted everyone with a smile, and was well known as the "Voice of the Village of Skokie." Family was her greatest love. Sara will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Funeral services: Friday, June 11th at 1:30 pm at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL.
