My thoughts and prayers are with the Sheldon’s family and friends. It has been such a privilege to know  Sheldon and to work with him over the past eight years. I will always remember him as the Chairman of the Board for OSI. Sheldon was completely in charge of the meeting and had the most intricate knowledge of the operations of the company. He was also a teacher to me taking time to bring me up to speed on what was being discussed. I will always remember the devotion he would show we he talked about his family. Each day I will remember Sheldon and his family in my prayers.

Sheldon and my late father Gerry Newman were business associates. My father respected and admired Sheldon as did my late mother Bobbi who actually lived down the street from Sheldon. I too got to know Sheldon and I had the honor of speaking at and introducing Sheldon at the ceremony to commemorate a Medical Service Bus in memory of Sheldon's late wife at the Columbus RMHC back in 2012. May he rest in peace.

i was very fortunate to have met and most importantly, have a friendship with Shelly that goes back 30 years because of the McDonalds ties and relationships we had.  He was kind, professional,  smart (super smart!), committed to his Associates and teams, and also a loyal partner to all of the customers OSI have.  It is hard to define Shelly in any single way---he merely led by example and i know played an incredible influence on his family and those closest to him.

He was a "rock Star" for so many and I will miss him.
