Susan L. Weil, age 73; treasured daughter of the late Dr. Rolf A. Weil and Leni Weil; cherished sister of Ronald (Carla Tomaso) Weil; and caring aunt of Maddy (A.J. DelPrince) and Ellie Weil. Susan lived a quiet life but remained steadfast in frequenting the things she loved, including visiting the Chicago Botanic Gardens, taking walks around her beloved hometown of Evanston, and attending Northwestern Symphony Orchestra concerts. Susan loved listening to music of all genres, and could rotate from classical music to the latest pop and country hits, over which she bonded with her nieces. She was also a longtime member of Beth Emet Synagogue and the Jewish faith was an integral component of her life. Susan will be remembered for many things, but especially the deep and unbreakable bond she had with her late mother, Leni, who passed away earlier this year. Susan will be missed dearly by her family; may her memory be for a blessing. Services and shiva will be private. Interment New Light Cemetery, Lincolnwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022.
