Teri was a piano prodigy with an ear for, and love of, music. As she used to say, “It’s all about the music.” George Gershwin became her favorite composer and his Rhapsody in Blue was her favorite piece.
Teri was a self-professed tomboy. She had a love affair with the “classic cars” manufactured in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Once the proud owner of a yellow 1965 Mustang, she could often identify a classic car’s year, make, and model by sight.
Teri graduated from Roger C. Sullivan High School in Rogers Park and attended Northern Illinois and Northeastern Universities where she studied to be a teacher. Her love of children above all else was something that stayed with her for her entire life and made her a fiercely protective, ever-giving mother to her three children. Likewise, she was an avid plant-lover and was consistently in awe when witnessing her garden and plants bloom and grow as a result of her diligent love and care.
Throughout her life—both professional and personal—Teri was an expert fashion stylist who relished putting together outfits that flattered the wearer and made them feel good about themselves.
She was a natural dancer who loved to move her body, and regularly danced and acted in local stage productions to much acclaim.
Teri was married to Steven Paul from 1971-1984 and to Louis Lang from 1987-2021. She is preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Wayne Rosenbaum.
Teri is survived by her children Matthew (Stacy) Paul, Chad Paul (Julie Resce), and Becky Lang (Nathan Lowery); and by her brother Jerry Rosenbaum.
“When darkness comes
And pain is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.”
