Thomas Ahto

have a memory or condolence to add?

December 5, 2019

Tom had a wonderful laugh and sense of humor that is still vivid in my memory.

His perspective was always delivered with humor.

He was a brilliant , efficient and solutions oriented lawyer who got it done,

May he Rest In Peace.

Dear Judy and Family,
We are so shocked at hearing the devastating news that Tom has passed away . The terrible encompassing sadness is so strong and we feel so helpless that we cannot be with you tp help you thru this difficult time. Tom always had such a kind happy and loving personality and although we only knew him thru our walks in Rivershire we grew to love him. Our dinners and canasta games always led to great conversations and showed us what a wonderful gentleman he was.
May all the wonderful memories you have through all the years help to ease your grief for you were blessed to have him as a role model. We will miss him.
Sending our prayers of comfort.

My family extends its deepest sympathies to the Ahto family, on the unexpected loss of one of the finest gentlemen I have had the pleasure to know. I had the good fortune of working with Tom, and he was very patient in his advice and guidance. Along with Mike Stern, I acted as their chauffeur to and from work for many years. The daily whimsical conversations made the traffic bearable, and I learned from Tom that injecting humor in negotiations at just the right time could lead to understanding and agreement. Other unavoidable commitments will keep me from the services, but I will pause my activities on Wednesday and reflect on my good fortune of knowing Tom. He was a good friend and a very, very good man.
