Joe was born on December 19, 1931 to Jesusita Morron and Pablo Jalomo. He had seven siblings: Josephina, Ramona, Romero, Candelario, Anita, Amelia, and Margaret. He was born, raised, and lived his entire life in Wilmington, CA.
In January 1947, Joe entered into the U.S. Army as a Medical Aidman and separated from duty in January 1950. In June 1950, he married Mary Gonzales in a church located on the top of Signal Hill. Joe was married for 72 years and had 3 sons and a daughter. He was blessed with 8 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Joe worked for U.S. Borax, (Rio Tinto Borax), as a mechanic for 42 years, the Company is well known for its 20 Mule Team Borax laundry soap.
Activities that Joe enjoyed during his lifetime were: coaching his sons Little League Baseball teams for many years, watching his sons participate in Judo for eight years, he enjoyed deep sea fishing, bowling at the Cove Bowl, golfing with friends, he liked listening to music by Julio Iglesias, watching old movies, and especially going to the Horse Races….he truly loved the Races.
