Maria del Socorro Cordova Ramirez, resident of Wilmington, California since 1949, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the age of 92. Socorro, born in El Paso, Texas, was preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Ramirez, and daughter, Socorro Cordova.
She leaves behind 4 children; Gumesindo (Katherine) Ramirez, Robert Ramirez, Carlos (Gloria) Ramirez, and Felipa Ramirez; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Antonio Cordova and Gregorio Cordova, and several nieces and nephews. A Special thanks to her caregiver, Jocelyn Bortolo.
A memorial service will be held at Funeraria del Angel McNerney's Mortuary in Wilmington, California on Monday April 23, 2012 at 5:00PM. Services will resume in El Paso, Texas on Thursday April 26, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel Martin Central at 5:00PM and Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday April 27, 2012 at 9:30 AM.
Maria del Socorro will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery immediately following mass.
