Mrs. Mary Ellen Hernandez, age 84, of Carson, California passed away on Saturday April 28, 2018. Mary Ellen was born January 27, 1934 in Long Beach, CA to Juan & Celedonia Hernandez. She was a graduate of Banning High School in Wilmington, she was always proud to support her Banning Pilots at the football games & was very proud of being the eldest alumni at the Banning Picnic. She was a wonderful aunt to all her nieces & nephews, who will miss her deeply
Mary Ellen is survived by; son Mario Vargas; sister-in-law Nellie Hernandez; grandson David (Rebecca) Marquez. She leaves her legacy on this earth through her 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mary Ellen will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, 1640 North Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the mortuary chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church , 1011 E. L Street, Wilmington , Ca. with interment to follow at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807. .
