Peter Joseph Tapia, age 66, of Wilmington, California passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020. Peter was born October 15, 1953 to Herminia Tapia and Pedro Tapia. Peter graduated from Carson High School, played the Saxophone in local area bands for many years. He was also a machine operator for many years.
Peter is survived by daughter Reina Chavez; mother Herminia Tapia; sister Rosalind (Jim) Ponce and brother Gilbert Tapia.
Peter was preceded in death by father Pedro Tapia, he leaves his legacy on this earth through his 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass for Peter will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church, 515 W. Opp Street, Wilmington, CA 90744. Following the Funeral Mass will be a graveside/interment at 1:00 PM at All Souls Cemetery, 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807.
