Richard “Big Rick” Blanco came into this world on October 18th, 1951 and entered eternal life on January 28th, 2013. It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Rick was born on October 18th, 1951 to Daniel and Antonia Blanco in Torrance, California. Big Rick lived his life with open arms and an open heart. He adored his family and would do anything he could for them. He enjoyed working on old cars, watching his sons play sports, routing for his favorite sport teams, especially the NY Giants, and most of all, dancing the night away with the love of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria "Lena" Blanco; his two sons, who he would do anything for, Richard “Lil Rick” Blanco, Jr. and Stephen Blanco (Melissa); his four granddaughters, who he adored, Kayla (Kennedy), Cheyanne, Jayden, and Mekenna; and one precious great-grandson, Shane. Rick is also survived by his brothers and sisters; his mother in-law and father in-law, his sister in-laws and brother in-laws, many nieces and nephews, as well as, family and friends.
