Alan S. Cohen
Alan Steven Cohen, 61, of Wilmington, NC and Lady Lake, FL, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center.
He was born June 11, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY. His brother, Lawrence Cohen, preceded him in death.
Alan was a retired martial artist and restaurant entrepreneur, and more recently an Insurance Broker with Burns & Wilcox for commercial business.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Mackie-Cohen; son, Jason Robert Cohen; sister, Monica Cohen; beloved mother-in-law, Norma Mackie; sister-in-law, Ellen Mackie; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, January 22, 2019, and from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Andrews Valley Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Andrews Valley Chapel. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
