Alan was born in Concord, NC on April 14, 1949 son to the late Helen and Raymond Hampton, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Ron Hampton.
Alan had a Master's Degree and worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor. He had a variety of interests such as a beekeeping. He also enjoyed fishing, photography and stamp collecting.
Alan is survived his wife, Elizabeth Hampton; son, Scott Hampton and his wife Noelle Hampton, daughter, Kimberly Whitley and her husband Clarence Whitley; 4 grandchildren: Nicholas, Olivia, Emma and Easton.
Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Lifecare/ Hospice.
