He was born on April 30, 1949, in Robeson County, NC, the son of the late Fuller and Lannie Mae Bass Prevatte. Also remembered are three brothers, Jimmy Dale Floyd, Preston Ray Floyd, and Fuller Prevatte Jr.; and two sisters, Rachel Lucas and Betty Jean Greer, all of who preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth Ann Dail Prevatte; one daughter, Melissa Lynn Prevatte; a brother, Kenneth Phillip Prevatte; a sister, Barbara Prevatte Katlen; two stepdaughters, Wendy Clemmons McNeil and Lisa Jean Clemmons; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
Burial will be private.
