Ann R. Todd

Ann R. Todd, age 70, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2022 in Wilmington, NC surrounded by family.  She was born to Emmett and Julia Snellings in Falmouth, VA. She was a fierce, loving, intelligent, hard-working, honest and resolute woman who will be missed by so many. She is survived by Robert (Bob) Todd, Sr., her husband of 47 years.  They met at Scope, Inc. in 1972, where they both worked.

An avid sailor, she held her USCG Master’s License (100 ton) and co-captained the Jule III for 27-years alongside Bob.  She was the “Admiral” in all aspects of her personal and professional life, an exception to that is when she shared her unconditional motherly love with many. 

Ann was the owner of a high-tech security firm, Advanced Research Corporation (ARC) from 1984-2020.  Her love for travel and grandchildren kept her busy which did not allow for idleness.  Ann’s favorite places to travel were Marco Island, FL where she and her family visited every year for over 40 years, as well as sailing the coastal Caribbean on the Jule III. Her favorite destination was Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas, where she was fortunate enough to spend her last days. 

She is also survived by her 2 sons, Christopher Todd with his wife, Christina; Robert Todd, Jr. with his wife Anne; 5 grandchildren, Collin, 22; Emily, 19; Lauren, 16; Lilli, 15; Logan, 2; and her cat Mattie K, 5.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son William (Billy) of Herndon, VA, her brother Donald (Donnie) Snellings of Phoenix, AZ, and her brother Roy Snellings of Falmouth, VA.

Funeral services will be held on April 2, 2022 at Hull’s Memorial Baptist Church, 420 Enon Rd. Fredericksburg, VA at 1:00pm.  Graveside service will immediately follow at Hull’s cemetery.
