
Anne White Sharp Kash, 82, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center.
Anne was born June 16, 1943 in Mt. Sterling, KY, daughter of the late Waller Sharp, III and Mary Elise Spratt Sharp.
Anne graduated from Mount Sterling High School in Mount Sterling, KY in 1961, attending Transylvania College in Lexington, KY. Anne was a strong supporter of the Salvation Army, and she carried food, clothing, hats and gloves for the homeless in her car, which she would distribute. Her granddaughter, Ava, would enjoy helping her with this endeavor. Anne was an avid traveler, skier, reader and duplicate bridge player. She attained an elite level in duplicate bridge as a Diamond Life Master with the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League). Anne enjoyed, most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Anne is survived by her husband Dr. Stephen Lee Kash, her sister, Patricia Sharp, and her children; Gregory Mason Kash and wife Kristin Snyder Kash of Raleigh, NC, Catherine Camille Collier and husband Cal Collier of Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth Ashley Kash of Wilmington and Virginia Megan McDonald of Dublin, Ireland. Her surviving grandchildren are Mason Edward Kash, Calvin Evans Collier, Jr., William Findley Collier, Camille Elizabeth Collier, Elise Mary MacDonald, Callan Kash MacDonald and Ava Kash.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne’s memory may be made to Saint Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church or Vintage Values.
